About
Built for our own business first.
Richard Stern owns Carmel Valley Test Prep, a tutoring business in San Diego. Like a salon, it runs on one phone number that families text at all hours: to book, to move a session, to say they are running late, to ask a question. And like a salon, the person who should answer is usually busy with a customer.
So he built an assistant to answer that phone for him. It reads the texts, knows the schedule, books and moves sessions in Google Calendar, sends confirmations and reminders, and hands anything unusual back to him. It has run every day since, on his own number, with his own customers. The rules it follows were written one real conversation at a time.
Salon Concierge is that same system, set up for salons. Nail salons and hair salons both, because a tech with a file in her hand or a stylist mid-color cannot pick up a phone. Any salon where the people doing the work are the people answering the phone.
What we believe
- Customers should text the number they know and get a person-sounding answer in seconds.
- The owner should see everything. It is your number and your phone.
- An assistant should know when to stop. Money and complaints are for the owner.
- Nothing should be promised on a website that is not already running somewhere real.
